APN owns two large and successful radio businesses in a joint venture with US radio giant, Clear Channel International. In Australia, the Australian Radio Network operates the Mix and Classic Hits networks across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane, reaching over 4 million listeners. In New Zealand, The Radio Network has three of the top five national brands including the number one national network, Newstalk ZB.

Australian Radio Network

The Mix network focuses on delivering content and music that connects with women 25-44 years. Songs you know, songs you can sing along to all day. Mix has a distinct feel to it – it’s real, uncomplicated, uplifting, fun and light hearted.

Classic Hits targets all listeners 40-54 years. Classic Hits music is just that – all of your favourite songs from the ‘60s, ‘70s & ‘80s. Songs that instantly make you feel good and take you back to those key moments you have created throughout your life. Big on personalities, with Jonesy and Amanda in Sydney, Grubby and Dee Dee in Melbourne and Laurel, Gary and Mark in Brisbane – all waking you up in the morning. These stations are genuine, informative, credible, community focused and highly entertaining.

ARN also operates The Edge 96.1FM in Sydney and Cruise 1323AM in Adelaide.

In New Zealand, The Radio Network creates great radio that shapes opinion, entertains, reflects and enriches the lives of New Zealanders. Our team includes icons of New Zealand radio, like Mike Hosking, Kerre Woodham, Jason Gunn and Polly Gillespie.

Our eight radio networks are some of New Zealand’s largest and most loved stations, including Newstalk ZB with breaking news and intelligent debate to the current topics of the day, ZM with today’s hit music, and Radio Hauraki founded as pirate radio 40 years ago. 1.4 million New Zealanders tune in to our stations, with a steadily increasing audience listening and engaging with our hosts online.
